Trapped in time

My mother has been a trapped in time in a patriarchal society from the beginning . From a very young age she forced to marry and bear children and years later in her old age she is now beginning to be like a child … finding joy in playing games with young children, she now travels and wonders all by herself in worlds created in her own mind. She never fully lived through her youthful years and now even despite so many children she finds most of her days by herself seeking for companionship with cats and small kids around the neighborhood or by herself.

The project was produced in the frame of Prince Claus Fund Partnership Network Program June-October 2021. Mentored byEmin Özmen/Magnum Photos and Cloé Kerhoas.

The program was implemented by Tbilisi Photo Festival in a partnership with Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum funded by Prince Claus Fund within the Partnership Network Grant Program.
