Bicycle for Changes

Our project aims to protect girls' rights in the Pankisi Valley and encourage their active participation in public life, specifically through cycling. Often, due to differing opinions, girls face exclusion and have to give up riding bicycles. Therefore, our goal is to involve as many girls as possible in our project, to overcome stereotypes together, and to enable girls to ride bicycles in the valley without any shame or hesitation.

The works were created within the framework of the project “Creative arts for shifting power for equality in marginalized communities of Georgia”. The project is funded by the Swedish Institute and implemented by the Tbilisi Photo Festival in partnership with Save the Children International.

The Swedish Institute did not participate in the design of the project.
