Electricity in the School

Our project aims to ensure that every classroom in the school has electricity. The lack of lighting disrupts our learning - we often can’t see what’s written on the board or in our notebooks, which makes us lose motivation to study. This is especially difficult in winter.
We want to draw attention to this issue and raise awareness among students, teachers, and the whole community. Electricity is one of the basic conditions needed for students to have a proper learning environment.
Through our project, we believe more people will learn about this problem and take students’ needs into account.
The works were created within the framework of the project “Creative arts for shifting power for equality in marginalized communities of Georgia”. The project is funded by the Swedish Institute and implemented by the Tbilisi Photo Festival in partnership with Save the Children International.
The Swedish Institute did not participate in the design of the project.
