2020 photo series “Accidental Portraits” by Giorgi Shengelia is a series created with experimental printing techniques. The images are miniature size; overexposed, or torn, sometimes with burnt edges - always developed with different chemicals. The series is an attempt to restore his own family photo album destroyed by the fire...  more precisely an attempt to recreate the same genuine and candid feeling imprinted on any family album. During the experiments inside the darkroom, one image is printed several times, and each time the image is a bearer of a different story. The physical space of the darkroom merges with personal space and provides an experience of total freedom.
