Human Habits is the original series of Azerbaijani new wave artist. Constantly documenting the city he lives in, Elturan finds unseen and unwanted angles or situation. He combines an amazing mixture of cold, critical stance and intellectual distance with a sharp and very individual emotional experience. His photographs are not just simple records, but poetic and philosophical metaphors.
His ability to express complex human interactions in a very particular manner with a strong composition and very specific color palette, avoiding straightforward emotionality and usual narration, is almost perfect.
As author puts it, Human Habits is a series of works about life, its moments, grievances, amusements and expectations – all of the essential components of daily life.
